We’ve been using Meshmixer in our previous tutorials, and we’ll continue to do so. A good option is to use Meshmixer, cutting model in it is fast and easy. For that, the simple cutting in Slic3r is not enough. Sometimes, you’ll want to cut along the X or Y axis, or even with an arbitrary positioned plane. I used to be able to bring the gcode files into M3d If I hit print Preprep to print, with the model positioned half below the Z, >Īctually it shows it as just half in the M3D printer but then it says optimizing and then the whole model shows up.
